Clymer deleted many of Randolph's references to sexual mysteries. In his edition of _Eulis_ (the one I've seen, anyway), he deleted Part III altogether, which contained the most detailed accounts of sexual rites in the book. Clymer's group felt that such material would be labelled as "obscene" and would thus give Lewis a weapon against him in the propaganda war with AMORC. > The only Randolph I've been able to find in a used bookstore thus far has > been _Eulis_, and I simply lucked out on that'un. That's probably his best book; provided it has Part III. Another interesting book along the same lines is _The Light of Egypt_ by Thomas H. Burgoyne, one of the chiefs of the Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor. This organization, also called the Hermetic Brotherhood of Light, claimed Dr. Carl Kellner as one of its members. Several hardcover editions of _The Light of Egypt_ surface occasionally on the used bookstore circuit, and it has been recently republished by Sun Books (in paperback with unfortunately poor quality illustrations): Sun Publishing Company, P.O. Box 5588, Santa Fe, NM 87502-5588. Interestingly, this book contains the following "concluding note": "The awful list of powers, attributes and forces set forth in the works of P.B. Randolph, as attainable by the actual use of the sexual force, is a terrible snare. It was this fatal mistake that ruined the unfortunate, misguided Randolph himself. Therefore, remember, if you value your soul's immortality, that evil powers can be so gained, but those who gain them are forever lost. It is the true way to Voudooism and Black Magic. SO BEWARE how you play with the infernal laws which rule the realms of animal nature and outer darkness." Wouldn't that sound great on our Preliminary Pledge Form? Love is the law, love under will. At one point, Eulis Lodge had a lot of unpublished and/or little-known PRB stuff being serialized in their newsletter; haven't seen a copy in quite a while so I'm not sure how much is still available there...what I read was surely interesting though! > Clymer deleted many of Randolph's references to sexual mysteries. Republication sounds ace, even with poor-quality illos; again thanks for the address. Truth. Have you ever had an individual ask you to sponsor them, who you did *not* consider a troublemaker, but simply didn't like for one reason or another? In this situation, would you go ahead and sign for them anyway, as long as you felt that they weren't saboteurs? I'm thinking more about First and above, as I think *almost* anyone 'deserves a shot' at Minerval, since it's more or less a mutual checking-out period, and most of those who aren't truly committed to this particular path are likely to separate themselves out in the Minerval period...but what about someone who's taken Minerval and basically hasn't *done* anything, who asks you to sponsor them for First degree? If you had doubts about their knowing what they really want to do, would you err on the side of positive potential, or caution? Let it be known that I, David Cherubim, resigned in peace as the Cancellarius and Chief Instructor of the Hermetic Temple and Order of the Golden Dawn and as an Officer of the Israel Regardie Foundation, both of which operate in association with New Falcon Publications. Based on my resignation, there are now a number of significant changes with regard to the Thelemic Golden Dawn. The Thelemic Golden Dawn no longer operates in association with the Hermetic Temple and Order of the Golden Dawn, the Israel Regardie Foundation, or New Falcon Publications. The Thelemic Golden Dawn no longer incorporates the works of either Israel Regardie or Christopher Hyatt. All works are now the result of my own efforts and those of my associates. The titles "The Thelemic Temple of the Golden Dawn" and "Novus Ordo Aureae Aurora" are no longer applicable to our Order. The following titles currently apply to our Order: "The Thelemic Golden Dawn", "TGD", "Novus Ordo Aurora Aureae", and "The Golden Dawn of Thelema". The Thelemic Golden Dawn no longer certifies an initiate of any grade until he/she has successfully completed the work of that grade and is ceremonially initiated into the succeeding grade. The Thelemic Golden Dawn no longer charges for any of its services, such as ceremonial initiations, classes, or any other public rites or events. The Thelemic Golden Dawn Correspondence Lessons, Newsletters, Self-Initiation Ceremonies and Oaths, Official Rituals and Instructions, are now distributed in association with GOLDEN DAWN MAGICKAL PRODUCTS. Please address any questions regarding the above to the Grand Temple of the TGD in writing at: The Thelemic Golden Dawn, 1626 No. Wilcox Ave. #418, Los Angeles, CA 90028 USA.
