Nope, whether there was a Budge branch or not, it wasn't Isis-Urania, which was the "main" London temple, and whose peregrinations are pretty thoroughly documented in things like Gilbert's Golden Dawn Companion. (Isis-Urania was under the direction of Annie Horniman and, later I think,Florence Farr, before the revolt of the adepts in 1900). Um, actually, there is a schismatic (or heretical, I am not sure and the curia is dodging a decision pretty avidly) Catholic congregation in California that practices old-style (pre-Vatican II) Roman rite: Latin, no feed or drink from midnight before receiving communion, etc. etc. (they sound like they are in the same camp as Lefebvre but I don't know if they acknowledge his succession) and calling themselves the Roman Catholic Church, with press conferences etc. denouncing the larger organization of that name as heretical, etc, etc, and denying the authority of the Pope over Catholics, etc. The Archdiocese, on 20/20 or whatever show aired a segment on this, noted that the term Roman Catholic Church is in the public domain and that any goup had a legal right to use it. They do, of course, reserve the right to suspend the clerical powers of the parish priest running the conservative tradition in question, but claim no legal basis to move against him or his claims: a spiritual matter, not a legal one (g). UpdReq 93- CP> Would it be possible for you to do me a BIG favor and find out CP> how much CP> it would cost to get my copy of Jim Eshelman's book bound? The CP> local CP> bindery wants in the neighborhood of $50 - $80, depending on CP> the binding, CP> material, and number of copies. I'm thinking clothbound & I'd say less than that, from what I know of his prices- as I recall, binding your typical Dover paperback into cloth is in the neighborhood of 25$. Can I just give you his number? It's Ars Obscura, Joel Radcliffe is the proprietor- 206-448-2048 (best after Noon PST) tell him I sent you. I can vouch that his work is strictly top quality and he is a fair businessman. I'm sure he'd love to hear from you. ,=====. -93/93 ===' _---_ . . ===<< () > -Ar Aakhu-t `---' /| bb125@scn.org `-' | 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718
