   In all fairness, it's possible, though unlikely, that Motta never had 
   a set of the higher degrees, and if he did give out the lower degrees, 
   it may only have been his "updated" versions. You would think that with 
   all the realignments in the past twenty years, though, someone would 
   have gotten a set of the typescripts to him, but perhaps he really 
   didn't care about them. (Most "defections" were towards the Caliphate 
   side too, which couldn't have helped......)
