VH> II: The Gospel According to St. Bernard Shaw According to the intro to III:10 by H.'.B.'. (see p. 12)... Crowley outlined the proposed contents of the remainer of Volume III in this number [III:1, the "Blue" Equinox -CP], but Volume III(2) never appeared (although it reached galley-proofs and was included in the series as if issued). In subsequent numbers of Volume III the Equinox came to assume the character of a series of occasional monographs. I take the last sentence as indication that III:2 was _not_ a monograph, and thus indicated an unprinted edition like III:1, that is, a _collection_ of works. VH> VII: ??? Still quoting the intro to III:10... This was followed by the Shih Yi (Yi King) (Number 7) in 1971 EV, Hope this helps... If you have evidence to the contrary, I'm interested. Oh, there is no doubt that Yeats hated Crowley. I really doubt if Yeats (one of the best poets of the late 19th century and early 20th) hated Crowley because of Crowley's greater skill in poetry. Crowley is considered a very minor poet and only that because he was published in a decent journal once or twice. As most people who have read his poetry and Yeats' would agree, Yeats was a class above him.
