GOOD RESULTS Rec'd UpdReq I'll give her a test-drive and let you know how it went. My initial impressions from reading the thing, though, were twofold. For one, you are one of the few other people I've run across who pays attention to the side pillars when doing the MP; this is how I've always started the excercise, and such a visualization is important to me. On the other hand, the idea of breaking down the centers of the MP seems rather contrary to the goal of the standard MP ritual, but that's not to say it doesn't have totally different merits. To me, conciousness can be broken up into several distinct levels, each of which is able to function at an optimal level if it is in balance with each of the others, and able to act freely without bumping into other facilities of conciousness. That is, the intellect is at its best when the emotions and intuition are present, but do not get in its way. The neschemah gets out of hand when the ruach, nephesch, and guph are not making themselves known once in a while, but it can also be hampered by the same. The Middle Pillar ritual, then, serves the purpose of establishing each of these functions as a thing in and of itself, and integrating them with one another... There are assholes in every group, and there are many decent people as well. Unfortunately, your friend is right to a degree about many people's interpretation of the Law. Do what thou wilt is not a license to dick people around, or to be inconciderate-irresponsible...but many interpret it that way. Once they find out that NOT what it is, and that it intails discipline, they leave: it's a weeding out process that seem's to work moderately well. AE> Peace. Love is the Law. Gerald ... GOOD RESULTS Sent UpdReq Very interesting! Perchance, what you may wish to do is to use the "one-pillar, in five flames" method as I have described and then do the actual middle-pillar using the Arch-angel and/or angelic names.
