It was generally a piece of crap in other respects, but one thing my old TI 99-4a was good for, was creating and animating "sprites" (the cyber- netic kind). ... Xeper... I once saw an animation demonstration for the Macintosh Quadra's, that had a rotating, forwarding moving video-like thing of different symbols and signs throughout the 80s. I think it would be kindof neat to use that program, yet give it a data set of the symbols you wish to use each particular time. You know how people in this day an age get mesmerized by video. Well, you could (if you so planned it) make a decent structure of symbols to stare at, like a half hour or two before a ritual. Kindof like hypnotising your mind into a certain frame, before doing the ritual. Moving and changing objects will capture and hold the attention, while the symbols themselves will flow into your mind. Then, when the ritual starts, all these feelings and symbols have moved your conscious mind into the correct frame. I think it's a great idea, I just need a way to implement it. By the way, this very same idea was used to devastating effect by the Nazi's in WW II. They would have scenes of German strength and pride on video, amid flashing symbols of the National Party. That way, by the time Hitler (or whoever) took the stand to make a speech, the people were already worked into a frenzy. Ideas ??
