However, were you aware that the Templars are still in existence? We are! :) Seriously, though, what do YOU feel the true "treasure" was? (Their chivalric and passionate devotion towards religion was, of course, a treasure in it's own but what was there that eventually lead to their downfall? Was it money? Or something more? What was Phillip the Fair after, eh?) :) Pax! 93 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718 From: Bobby Meizer Area: Thelema To: Steven Craig 30 Mar 92 20:56:00 Subject: RE: Re: Law UpdReq I may be wrong, but I think Mark's point was that Thelema as a whole would be unlikely to develop into something really dogmatic because many of the adherents are too strong-willed to accept someone else's dogma (though they might cling to personal dogmas with great vigor!). I think it is true that "Thelema-as-a-whole" will never follow a single dogma, though I can see how it could develop into a 'rubric' for a myriad of schismatic dogmas clustered about various strong personalities, almost all tracing their 'lineage' to Crowley, all making some connection with the BOTL. In fact, this seems to be the historical trend so far in the short life of the creed (unless you count Rabelais, but then I've not heard of any Rabelaisian Thelemites who predate Crowleyan Thelema, though a few have popped up since AC's time!). 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718
