From: Shawn McMahon Area: Public Key Encryption To: Brian Giroux 2 Dec 94 11:13:40 Subject: PGP VERSIONS UpdReq Despite the stern warnings of the tribal elders, Shawn McMahon said this to Brian Giroux: SM> 2.7 is some guy compiling his own, with changes. As for what SM> source level it's based on, you'd have to ask the author. I need to make an addition to this; I didn't realize, at the time I posted, that ViaCrypt was calling their latest commercial release 2.7. So, any 2.7 you see might be somebody compiling his own, or it might be ViaCrypt's commercial product, with changes to allow it to read 2.6-created messages, among other things. For exactly what changes are made, you'd have to contact ViaCrypt. --- # Origin: Void Where Prohibited/2 (1:19/34) * Origin: PODNet <-> FidoNet EchoGate!
