 There is a move in congress backed by the AMA, and several conservative
parties sympathetic to the "War on Drugs" to prohibit the use of certain
readily available herbs used in herbal medicine.  The following letter can be

cent stamp to conserve your right to heal your body naturally.

 Senator Hatch, R-Utah, has introduced a new bill, "Health Fredom Act of
1992", S. 2835.
 As a health conscious consumer, I ask you to co-sponsor this bill and work
vigorously for its passage.  I want the bill enacted because it will bring
about less restrictive regulations that will allow me grater access 
tonutritional supplements and information about the benefits they provide.
 The new law will establish:
 1. A broader definition of dietary supplement, to include herbs and other
supplements.
 2. That dietary supplements are NOT drugs.
 3. Tha dietary supplements are NOT food additives.
 4. That truthful health information about dietary supplements is permitted.
 5. That the FDA has no prior restraint authority on truthful labeling or
advertising.

 Sorry to continue off topic discussion, but I do NOT believe that you were 
being entirely truthful about that "accident".  I have been riding for many 
years, and have been in a few high speed collisions. I have always worn full 
gear,(full-face helmet, boots, denim or leather pants and jacket). While 
there have been instances of fatalities and neck injuries due to (improperly 
fitted,open-faced,most commonly) helmets, I have never reviewed a case 
involving speeds less than 20 mph. Since helmets (all) usually restrict 
moving the head back, rather than forward, you'd have to provide further 
information to convince me that the incident occurred at all (police item #, 
hospital records,etc...).
  Even if this did happen, the number of accidents involving unprotected 
riders is so much greater, that _promoting_ it is foolish at best;the act of 
someone with a malicious attitude toward motorcycle enthusiasts. Don't 
misunderstand me, I believe that people should have the option to ride 
"naked",after all stupidity isn't illegal, though it should be more expensive.
  You wouldn't happen to be a P.I. attorney specializing in motorcycle 
accidents would you?  If we all rode nekkid, de doctors an de lawyers would 
be makin de bux.
