There is an excellent series of programs on The Discovery Channel called
"Secret Weapons of WWI" that covers a lot of this as well.
Almost the entirety of the NAZI rocket and nuclear scientists were "split"
between the Soviet Union of the time and the USA.  These are the best known,
but there was an extensive incorporation of NAZI personnel into the US by
several different Federal Government Agencies; both military and civillian.
The ODESSA placed many others in Central and South America, with at least
tacit approval by those governments.  And the MOSSAD tracked many of them
down and under their own authority, either executed them or "extradited" them
under duress back to Israel.....neither of which I see as anything but
entirely justified, as all I'm aware of were guilty of horrible crimes against
humanity.
