Satan & the devil can also be metaphors for the darker forces of
Magick. Folks have been working with the forces of chaos as long as
there has been Magick & practitioner. IMHO to say that the early
witches "practitioners of folk magic" NEVER dealt with the negative
forces of Magick is naive in the extreme.
