Why, any price would be worthwhile for Mezlim (g). $6 to $8 seems reasonable - I might go $10, given the usual quality of Mezlim, but that is AFTER being familiar with it - I dunno if I'd have gone that high before I knew what Mezlim was like. 2) If you were already familiar with it, and knew that you wanted it, what price would you be comfortable with? Oops -= I seem ot have mushed #1 And #2 together. See above. 3) If you could purchase an annual subscription, what kind of savings would you expect off the newsstand price? Isn't about 20% standard in the industry? That's about what you are offering now ($4 off a $24 newstand price). $1 an issue. Makes sense to me. 4) Are you already familiar with Mezlim? Never heard of it. I especally liked the issue I didn't see on The Divine Courtesan (latest, I believe). The issue I am unfamiliar with about the Teacher/Student relationship in Magick was also excellent (or so I hear). As a Setian, I have found that the visions I induce via the Aethyrs have a high degree of Setian content in them. Were I a Martinist or other Christian Ceremonial Magician, I have no doubt that I would be seeing the Holy Spirit descending where I currently see Set lighting the Black Flame. Mystical experiences are our mind's way of trying to comprehend ideas beyond the ken of normal language/reality processing...just as algebra/calculus/mathematics are our way of trying to map events in the objective world and discover connections between them. We use symbols to increase our ability to process reality...see Dion Fortune's _Mystical Qabalah_. Being products of a Xian society, it is no wonder that the writers of many of the medieval grimoires saw Xian visions...even if what they gathered from them had little or nothing to do with exoteric Xianity. Today the visions we as magicians induce have less Xian content...because our society is (thankfully) far less Xian. Just a theory...any comments? Xeper and Remanifest Rakshasa aka Setian Kevin T. It is produced by Wiccans/White Lighters but lacks the flabbiness of thinking and airy-fairy idealism so often found in such publications. I found the issue I perused to be very well-written and professionally done; I recommend it highly. In fact, the only reason I do not subscribe is because of that most dreaded of all diseases--shortness of funds. While I do feel _Mezlim_ does tend to be a bit "New Agey" for my tastes (although it's very thoughtful and insightful "New Agey") you might not find that.
