I'm going to get a letter of inquiry written tonight on the second project I mentioned. 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718 From: Markie Chao Area: Night Side To: Astral Invader 29 Apr 92 18:41:14 Subject: Taking orders Sent UpdReq TM> It never ceases to amaze me how few "occultists" and "magicians" TM> realize that TM> they always have the option of refusing to TM> take orders from others! Totally ignoring the original reason for this discussion.... This is a valid thought in and of itself. Not in reference I repeat to the topic that started this one, or either person's position on it. We the people have a well taught tendency to do what people tell us in general...like strangers on the street, television commercials and people we see as authority figures. Once in a while it is a good idea to stop and look at what you do and why. But don't do it just because I told you to...;) 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718 From: Charles Nemo Area: Night Side To: The Sinistar 29 Apr 92 19:36:44 Subject: Re: Dark Musick Sent UpdReq CN> Also highly recommended are Current 93's CN> "The Sadness of Things" and CN> the CD soundtrack for "The Silence of the Lambs". I've got "Dog's Blood Rising" in both LP and CD format. Most of these older things came out first in Lp and only in the last year or so in CD. I've enjoyed it a great deal. Speaking of "Jesus Wept", I almost forgot a recommendation I received some time ago concerning the soundtrack CD for "The Last Temptation of Christ". I was sceptical, but it came from an excellent source (you?), and since I'd read that the fundies hated it to the point of picketing early showings (thereby foolishly calling further attention to the object of their scorn and making it more attractive to deviants such as the habituates of this echo ];-))) ), I decided to give it a listen. Nice score! Very dark and Middle Eastern in tone, and very effective in calling to mind the desolation of darkness and desert. Highly recommended! 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718 From: Charles Nemo Area: Night Side To: Fra.: Nachash 29 Apr 92 19:44:46 Subject: Tibetan Knives Sent UpdReq I just caame across an interesting phurbu in the new Atlanta Cutlery catalog. I DO know that the Federal Reserve Board is a private banking entity -- not a federal organization at all. Who do you think are the members of its board? Why, the private banks it purports to regulate, of course. It occupies a VERY simple listing in the Washington, D.C. white pages -- just a single line not even in caps! It's very low key about its existence, of course. Can you imagine the profits to be made if word leaks out in advance of its money supply statistical reports? Of course, it's stated firmly that this could never happen, but I imagine it happens all the time and is a part of the reason behind the tremendous concentration of money in fewer and fewer hands in recent years. If you know in advance which way the various financial markets are going to move, you can make tremendous profits in futures.... And to think that occultists are accused of being deviant.... ];-) 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718 From: William Hunter Area: Night Side To: Nick Frost 29 Apr 92 23:01:06 Subject: Re: WET MAGICK Sent UpdReq Uh, I thought I'd said what I thought. Safe sex magick is possible, and will work---up to a point. You can get about two thirds of the way through, if you want to look at it that way. Considering masturbation within the realm of safe sex and sex magick, for example, I would have to say that this works. My experience is that you can do some workings and remain safe. But this is limited in scope. Safe sex is only funny if you're one of the people who doesn't need to be having it. 93 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718
