There's a bootleg out now that can be had for under $35. It also contains
some other singles not easily found anymore. The sound quality of the CD is
*excellent*.

 I suspect a scam. I've heard this story -or variations on it- from a
 number of different people, each time with local variations (a letter,
 written in lipstick on the bathroom mirror, etc.).
 Without more evidence (ask for a photo of the coffin), I'd be
 disinclined to believe it.
