We're now back to the theory that we might be headed for another ice age. Several scientiest say that this crazy weather is recorded in tree rings, rock and soil as a prelude of ice age weather. That the number of recent sun spots might be a prelude to the big one that will cause the earth to cool rapidly. Go figure. I wish they'd make up their minds. Are we going to need to get hot weather gear, or start saving up for a pair of fur pants? (Grin.) I say that it's anyone's guess. Only the gods know for sure. What is for sure is that this weather is nuts! Though to tell you the truth my mother told me tales of her grandmother telling her that as a girl she used to ride across the fence tops in a sleigh in Missouri. Now that's alot of snow and ice! Now there's a good way to get out all the frustrations of life. Just punch it into the dough. I love to bake because the kitchen smells so good. I do yeast bread, cakes, pies, and cookies. I will be hanged if I'll spend almost three dollars for a package of a dozen cookies when I can make them at home without the preservatives. Between myself, my daughter, and my dad they don't stay around long. My daughter's favorite is the oatmeal raisin cookies that I make from my great grandmother's recipe.
