Conservative icon Barry Goldwater has now probably lost all status in his party ever since accusing the Republicans of being poor losers and of trying to sabotage the Clinton presidency. In recent years Goldwater has become increasingly estranged from the Republican party line, at least as the Religious Right sees it. He has spoken in favor of the civil rights legislation he once bitterly opposed, declared abortion to be a matter between a woman and her doctor, and recently declared the military ban on ANy comments from the peanut gallery? gays to be totally nonsensical. I remember a little over a decade ago when one of the Catholic newspaper at my church tried to get a fow started against him by showing that he has been a member of, and continues to be one of his state's (Arizona) biggest contributors to, --Cthulhu for President--If You Are Tried of Choosing the Lesser of Two Evils! 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718 From: LIANA Area: Mundane To: ACE LIGHTNING 9 Apr 94 21:09:00 Subject: Re. And the man is correct, because there -is- ample evidence that the "ozone hole" ebbs and flows and comes and goes. At any rate, there's also evidence that demonstrates that there is another series of 'pollutants' that are reflecting heat away from the earth at about the same rate that the greenhouse gasses are trapping it. So best estimates say that the whole thing is entirely overblown. .\ .\.\ ... She cried pretty hard for a long time. It was the first of the Holy Daze when they found the body, and we read Chapter I out loud while playing Nirvana CDs for ol' Kurt. You know what's weird is my "Resh song" had been running around my head at odd moments during the day for a few days previous to the news announcement--not that I think I have a "psychic connec" to Kurt Cobain or anything, LOL! and Tam flashed on "All Apologies" too, something about him being as one in the sun for real now. We taped Nirvana Unplugged (I called it Dead Man Unplugged just to make her mad, since that always cheers her up) when Empty-V re-ran it. I've been thinking about my Nirvana Resh song too, of course. My first reaction was to get pissed off, that someone that young would "do an Oz" when there's people that age struggling and "raging against the darkening of the light" and all that, then I felt a real rush of sympathy for him, his ol lady, their kid...weird to feel that kinda connec' to a bunch of strangers, since I'm not the groupie/fan type by nature. Probably cuz he was the author of *my* "Resh song" maybe? When we were watching DM Unplugged, I was thinking the dude reminded me of an old blues man; not in style, but the high suffering content/presentation in the performance--not in a put-on style, you could tell it was real and really there. But that just made it more surprising to me, in that most people with that much pain don't' have that kind of powerful outlet...oh well, I'm rambling. Give "All Apologies" a listen sometime, it's a good'un! ;> Love is the law, love under will. 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718 From: Andy Bender Area: Mundane To: John Machate 11 Apr 94 15:21:14 Subject: Newsletter UpdReq JM> If you are interested in recieving a newsletter put out by JM> the MPN co-sponsered (and edited) by the Military Chapter JM> of W.A.R.D. then send your address to me here or to: Well, I doubt I want the newsletter, but I am curious: What is the Military Pagan Network?
