I just got whomped on by my sysop AND somebody else for leaving messages in the wrong area again, so I'm in "Mundane" now... gaah. Some fun... my computer just beeped at me and told me that "Thou Hast only 5 min. left," so I'd better logoff, but take care, and Blessed Be! Peace and Love, -Killashandra 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718 From: Swift Lightning Area: Mundane To: Farrell Mcgovern 9 Apr 94 21:15:00 Subject: Discordian/mooist Info UpdReq Re: Electronic _Principia Discordia_ FM> SL> Cool! I hope you have a good time. You can hold that phone number and call him whenever. I can tell you a few reasons why I think the Nova is amazing. To start with it has 4 LEDs per eye, 2 red and 2 green. It also has 50 internal programs. It has two innovations that I think are totally amazing. 1) It has a feature called "fill in the blanks programming." You specify four parameters: program "shape", a level of "changebility", top frequency, and bottom frequency. The Nova then creates a program based on these specs. You can then store this program to memory. Why is this so great? On other machines you have to put in a half hour or more entering every change in a program. Here you can design a program according to your own criteria, without having to put a lot of time into it. 2) The Nova can author and read Polysync signals on cassette. The MindLab DLS (Down Load System) can be plugged by a patch cord into a cassette player, from which it can read up to 5 different programs, giving the DLS access to an infinite supply of different programs. The Nova shares this capability. Kind of like Apple computers being able to run Intel X86 based software. The Nova can also edit these tapes! MindLab is developing many tapes for their machine. I'm sure they are not too happy that all of their "software" will be compatible with the Nova. In my opinion, at under $400, the Nova is the hottest thing going in light and sound right now. BTW, what frequencies cause you to have headaches? Can you turn the light intensity down on your machine? Love is the law, love under will.
