I've found a very good book on all psychedelics, "Psychedelic Encyclopedia, 
Third edition".  It is extremely comprehensive and at about $24 is reasonably 
priced for it's size (420 pages)

I found that it helps a great deal to place the tar in a bowl of corn
starch and them roll them into managable balls.  Otherwise, the tar sticks
like glue to the bowl and your hands.
The only drawback to this method is that it takes literally HOURS to
begin moving into hyperspace as the tar-balls have to melt in vivo
before being able to be assimilated.
I prefer the "powder ball" technique I outlined here in an earlier message.
Of all, the emema is the best.  One must be certain to have done a "pre-enema"
to clear the rectum.  It is quite easy to retain the 300cc's of extract
for the hour and a half necessary for total assimilation.  I have also
found that doing a good long sauna beforehand speeds this up as well.
