I was listening to the news today... seems that the
Georgia state supreme court is due to rule on a case
where a 10 year old third grader, following anti-drug
propaganda classes at school, went home and called
911 to turn his parents in on using drugs.
apparently the child alerted the police when his parents
were not home, they arrived, confiscated the drugs
(meta-amphetamines and pot, i think they said), then
waited around and arrested the parents when they got home.
the parents are claiming illegal drug search as the officers
did not have a warrant, and the parents claim that the 10
year old is not in a position to 'grant permission' for the
cops to do a search.
the cops claim "the child INVITED the (<female> doesn't THIS smack of
baiting a
kid... using a woman officer instead of
a male officer?) officer into the home and LED her to the drugs.
supposedly even if convicted, at least the mother is not likely to do
any time
because she has no prior record.
gods, this really scares me these days. this sounds like
nazi germany or the ussr. kids being propagandized into turning in
their own
parents. the news clip did also note
that, if the entire affair goes forward with a conviction,
etc... that a 'delicate balance of family relations' will have been
destroyed.
and THIS coming from an administration that is trying to to promote
(allegedly)
family values.
gross, really, gross.

 The anti-drug propaganda in Chicago puyblic schools is scary indeed.  I can't 
even begin to imagine what its like in a more conservative state like Georgia.
 Anyways, 4 more years of Bush and I believeeveryone on this series of echoes 
will be looking out at the sky through steel bars.
