Another is the Psychedelics Encyclopedia, by....uhhhh...damn! I forgot the author's name, but I do know it was published through the Tarcher Press...this is a really good book, but is sometimes limited in the safety factors we all need to know in order to use many of these plants (i.e., dosages, possible allergic reactions, adverse reactions to other drugs (prescription, non-prescription and others...i.e., alcohol, caffeine, etc...). I'll find the author's name and post it to you as soon as I can...there are many, many other books out there that can help you....look in the ethnobotany and psychopharmacology sections of your local libraries... 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718 From: Celfara Area: Magical Plants To: Wesley Arnold 15 Jul 92 23:49:52 Subject: Re: PLANTS UpdReq [Wesley] Thank you for the book suggestions, I'll go try and dig them up. [ALL] I am fond of Kava-Kava for it's dream inducing qualities. Unfortunately you must take atleast a quarter once to really get results and it tastes =bad=. Does anyone have any suggestions for making a drink that will taste pleasant using Kava-Kava? UpdReq Try cutting your kava with good old Hershey's cocoa...works wonders...if that doesn't work for you (i.e., you hate chocolate, even though I can't even conceive of such a thing), try FRESH mint and honey. That will even cut the taste of Calea (Zacatechichi) tea, which is about at bitter and nasty as they come...hope this helps... BTW - the Psychedelics Encyclopedia was written by Peter Stafford, published by J.P. Tarcher and really owned by Houghton Mifflin....
