The person meditating saw grand and powerful visions of Budda and the Cosmos. ;) I also heard someone mention a story where a women in a kitchen had a vision of a tiny Budda appear over her stove as she cooked. She chased it out with a broom... :) Blessed Be, may Yahweh and His Asherah guide and keep thee, Ar ReX Em SeXem Eref Neter Au-a Rx Khephera 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718 From: Khephera Area: MagickNet To: Rain 28 Oct 96 07:32:56 Subject: geeze! Well, it does seem as if computer problems have been abounding. Besides, most people who talk about anyone outside of their group do tend to be all-inclusive and bigotted. I admit that I do use the term "mundain" for most anyone not into Magick. But, it's not a feeling of superiority for me. I don't know why, but it's just a funny term I like to use. A local witch here uses the term "normal". Whenever we had a group thing going on, and "a normal" showed up she loved it. Actually, we all did. People who don't see things they way we do just add such a refreshing air to an occult situation. I'm thinking of two incidents. One was with the above mentioned person. She was giving a class- to which a "normal" showed up for kicks. As we were talking about calling Elementals, he just completely got excited and exclaimed: "You mean these things ACTUALLY show up when you call them?!?!" We all just bursted out laughing, and Hilary just grabbed him and hugged him. Another one was when I was in Denver, and we were performing a rather large gate-closing. We needed nine, and one didn't show. However, someone had brought a friend- a "mundain"- who wasn't one of us, but wanted to see what it was like. Well, he was pulled in as the ninth person, and you should have seen this poor guy! It was hilarious. (Of course, I would never suggest allowing such a person into a Circle, especially for a Gate Closing. But, back then I didn't think as I do now...). That's not an easy thing to do. Any attempt at being "general" wouldn't make you feel as if you've learned anything. For instance, the common definition of Magick is that it is simply: "Causing change in accordance with Will". Meaning you make the world what you Will it to be. Now, if you want to know details, you'll have to think of some questions to springboard from. CR> Should I spell magic magick? Whats the diffrence? Now here's a good example to start. ;) Now think of some more to get the ball rolling. :) You can spell Magick either way. An Adept Wizard from the early 1900s started spelling it "Magick" simply to mark the difference between the real thing and stage-illusions. For this is serves it's purpose. But, there is no set way either way. Good to see you lurking here. Traffic has indeed gone down, probably in proportion to how easy it is becomming to get on the internet. The Book Of Enoch: Interesting what U said about it being a name to attribute angel type writings to. Undoubtedly the same can be said about Hermes Thrice Blessed, who was given as author to so many ancient magic texts. The same is seen with Solomon. Mrs. Profit will make a profit on her Book Of Enoch I prophesize ;) but will be forgotten liike all the other obscure and missing books of Solomon and Hermes. I guess I have the begginning of my own 'Book Of Enoch' with the inner plan e contacts I have been cultivating. Like Sha Roo, 10,000 year old mesopotamian warror. I was wondering if any of you owned or had read a copy of _Liber_Kaos_ by Peter Carroll. A friend of mine has recently recommended the work to me. He was talking about a circle of 9 spheres connected to this book. Quite frankly, I have long been interested in magick theory in any form, even if it isn't one that I practice myself. Good example would be my friendships with a few followers of the Left Hand Path even though I most definitely do not follow it myself. Thanks for the help. Oh, by the way, post-help thanks to all who replied about my magickal rush note. It is nice to feel welcomed. *Grinz* Pax vobiscum! --- * UniQWK v3.3a* Sometimes 2 out of 3 is all one can handle. 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718
