Magic is not like science being that statement (I think). True enough, science depends upon and requires repeatability and consistency, magic does not necessarily require either. Magic does however require one thing that sciences does also, and that is....... Formulae. Not much of a surprise I hope. In science, the formula translate the cause(s) into an effect. For example mass * acceleration = force. In the same way spells and rituals translate the desires of the caster into an effect. Now what has this to do with a discussion of the Rede or the Thelema. Quite a bit actually. The rule of three (or nine or whatever) translate into a way to visualize and understand the forces of magic. I agree with Pan that we don't always understand the forces we release when we cast a spell, but all of our systems of magic enable us to focus and direct our desires into reality. Yes I didnot understand the difference in that the thelema is not something I have studied much. But now I know a bit more, I hope and my understanding has increased a bit. 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718
