I scanned it and I'll have much to think about. Thank you. 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718 From: Paul Hume Area: MagickNet To: Morpheus Shapiro 14 Aug 96 10:09:14 Subject: Magick UpdReq Morpheus - Pencil on your forehead? Ack, you'll get lead poisoning! Yes, going back to one of the wellsprings of Chaos Magick directly, Mr. Spare, shoulda been in my list. I have Book of Pleasure, and Anathema of Zos, and find the pictures play tricks with me quite satisfactorily in reproduction - as art, but not, I agree, as direct talismans. I do get a frisson of the actual power, ie. more than just the impact of Spare's incredible vision, and supreme craftsmanship as an artist, from a copy of a limited printing of his automatic drawings that I lucked onto in London many years ago. Anyway, yes, anyone wanting to understand or practice something more or less akin to Chaos Magick would do very well indeed to go straight to the source on Spare. And for that matter, they will be doing themselves a favor just encountering his art. Warm regards, Paul 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718
