Quite a load to dump on a poor fellow -- I have to perform some sort of triage on your comments if I can hope to make much sense in response. Sorry if I miss commenting on something that seems important from your POV. It's clear that your work has gone in a substantially different direction from mine, and that your goals are also somewhat different. But obviously you've had success in your approach. Given that difference and success, I don't feel qualified to make any "authoritative" comments on it. Except to say, "Vive la difference!" What a boring world it would be if we all saw the same things in it. But you should be aware that we may end up talking at cross-purposes without realizing it. LC> The knowledge is filled in later, it seems. Some of the knowledge is LC> unique, having nothing to refference it to-the backround is missing. LC> "The true nature of solor energy is contained in living things," was LC> one bit that I still am waiting for more info on. That is what the LC> Intelligence of Sun told me in answer to the question, "What is the LC> true nature of solor energy?" Oddly, I don't find this particular piece puzzling at all. Though I doubt I could explain it in less than 40 pages or so. As for the knowledge getting filled in later, that seems to be a fairly consistent effect among most magicians I know. Like any other new experience, your mind needs to get accustom itself to a new magickal energy before it can perceive it properly or understand it. LC> On the other hand, much of the LC> financial things just seem to come out of thin air, complete with a LC> knowledge of what to do about it. Of course, being a magician, I have LC> a fine tuned ability to read other people. This is a major asset in LC> business of all kinds. Also an asset in business is a spiritual cast LC> of mind that rejects gross materialism. I like money, but I am not LC> obsessed with it-so I have plenty of it. I AM obsessed with research LC> and study on the many topics I choose. Hmmm. I wonder if you aren't mistaking aspects of your own nature and karma for general qualities of magicians. There are enough socially maladjusted magicians around (myself among them, some would say ;-) ) to disprove the idea that ability to read people follows from ability in magick. (Admittedly, I probably could develop that ability given the time and effort, but for me it would be a distraction from my proper course.) Same for the money thing -- if indifference to money were a criterion, there would be lots more rich magicians around. At the least you probably had the will to develop these particular possibilities, where others do not. (continued....) ... Please share. Your hints are most engaging to me. (Ponders...) I'm primarily concerned with initiatory magick, where such changes in consciousness are the prime goal of the work. I suspect that for someone concerned with producing external effects, (or who believes there is a real distinction between Self and Other) they need not be so obvious; one could let the preconscious parts of the being that do all the work remain below the threshold of awareness. (More pondering...) The problem isn't finding an example -- I've got hundreds of them. Rather, it's finding one that is clear enough to explain. By their very nature, such experiences take place at a pre- verbal or extra-verbal level; words are often a byproduct of the experience, but don't really touch its core. Often, the best one can do is translate it into symbolic terms, and hope another person can use those symbols to work back to a similar experience. (Later yet...) I'm going to have to beg off on this one this time around. My head isn't in the right place to deal with the subject. 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718
