Animal familiars act as gaurdians certainly, but they can also act as messingers and even healers. Our cat for example, sends healing energy to us when we are feeling depressed or ill(he does this by making physical contact and transfering energy to us). Animal familiars(again citing our cat)will sometimes allow themselves to be 'ridden';ie they will allow their owner to inhabit their body for a short time in a kind of 'co-tenancy'.It is a weird experience to see the world through an animals eyes to be sure. As gaurdians, we have seen our cat respond to malevolent spirits and energies and alert us to the same.Familiars which are pure spirit act in much the same ways, but with a slightly more diffuse effect on the material world(and they tend to get a little forgetfull).Thats just a little sample.Lets talk some more. ------------------------------------ 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718 From: Greg Crowfoot Area: MagickNet To: Malana 26 Aug 94 22:51:44 Subject: Re: Familiars UpdReq Yes familiars can be sent on trips bearing messages;non-physical ones can be sent much more quickly than physical ones and with less 'resistance to taking the message down,so to speak.Physical familiars will take a message and deliver it, but they can get a bit stubborn. Our cat seems to think that its not his job to do so,but will reluctantly.Dogs seem to be a bit more eager to please and will relay psychic images/messages from the sender to the reciever, especially if their is something life-threatening going on to the sender. The key to the whole phenomina is that the sender and the reciever are sensitive and open enough to 'hear' the message; animals tend to relay messages(and recieve them) as images and emotions and it sometimes takes a little sorting out to translate that into somthing we can articulate. But the more the animmal and the sender/reciever work together, the easier this can get.Lets talk some more. ------------------------------------ 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718 From: Greg Crowfoot Area: MagickNet To: Rosebud 27 Aug 94 10:49:18 Subject: Re: magic UpdReq I might be interested in teaching you, but first I need to get clarifacation on your request. Are you asking what uses magic has generally? If so, the answer is that magic can be used for everything from the pursuit of spiritual enlightenment(through Initiatory Workings) to the mundane aqquasition of material gains(love,sex,money,etc.).It all depends on the user and their goals. Personally I favor Initiatory Works, but I also feel that a happy, stable 'mundane ' existance is also needed to support the Magician's greater Works.I hope that answers your question. "Christian-Paganism" is an oxymoron;centuries of oppression by Christinity and its own denial of the natural make it immpossible for this religion and what is called Paganism to marry. I have encounter many 'mystic-Christians' over the years and I feel that most of them are closet Pagans who are afraid to leave the dogma of the Christian religion for other Gods and other Ways.Christian-Paganism is a poor comprmise. If I were a Christian,I would say to come back to the church. But as a Pagan,I say either sh-t or get off the pot. ------------------------------------ 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718 From: Greg Crowfoot Area: MagickNet To: Alaric Morgan 27 Aug 94 11:16:36 Subject: Re: Ouija UpdReq I think your friend has some SERIOUS and POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS personality problems. It is not a good sign when someone walks around with a rifle and celebrates the return of Jack-the-Ripper.If you care for this individual, you should have them seek psychiatric counciling. If you live with this individual, move out,NOW(or you just might become 'Jack's' first commemorative victim).Think about it. ------------------------------------ 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718 From: Greg Crowfoot Area: MagickNet To: Andy Bender 27 Aug 94 12:02:20 Subject: Re: Ashtar? A friend of mine a long while back was into magic, but he never took the time to share his abilities with me. (even though I often begged to learn). Is there a teacher in the house??? I'm a willing student. 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718
