The FORMULARY was the work of a fellow known as Clinton, and was not Slater's 
work. Certain formulae in the book were Herman's, but several of the formulae
were devised by various employees and associates of the Childe. Slater just
penned the Intro and assembled the thing. His BOOK OF PAGAN RITUALS was lifted
from one of the many variant "Book Of Shadows" floating around. 
That's it on Slater's work. A number of people here in New York had intimate 
contact with the NECRONOMICON prior to its publication. CABAL is a bit of a 
loudmouth, to say the least, but I tend to lean toward his theory as to the
origin of the Avon NECRONOMICON.
