PH>The Mathers translation (pirated by Crowley and in turn pirated by De >Laurence) is of course just the Goetia. I have two books -- one titled "The Lesser Key of Solomon, or Goetia", with an introduction by Crowley. This one lists the 72 demons and their sigils, plus some stuff on the magickal weapons and appropriate conjurations. The second book, titled "The Greater Key of Solomon" and having Mathers as the translator contains stuff not found in the Crowley book, but does not conform to the five "parts" that I quoted. It contains Tables of the Planetary Hours, with their Angels. Also has some extremely wordy conjurations, instructions for various rites for specific purposes, pantacles of the Planets, and descriptions of the proper sorts of behavior necessary to the many parts of the magickal work. These are all jammed together into two books, not four, which is why I assumed it was a condensation or selection from the whole. I didn't mean to imply that any of these were part of the Lesser Key. * SLMR 2.1a * Politically correct: a Maoist in Liberal clothing. 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718 From: Chris Sherbak Area: MagickNet To: Graham Jenkins 25 Aug 92 23:10:06 Subject: Re: Introduction UpdReq -=> Quoting Graham Jenkins to All <=- GJ> Greetings Everybody, GJ> Anyway, if anyone reads this and decides to GJ> reply then I will know that I have set everything up right GJ> here.
