(There's probably a difference in their usage, but I'm still too much of a beginner to know it.) I don't want you to think I'm blowing it off, but I'm up in my ears with things to do before we leave at the crack of dawn tomorrow. Be back the 19th. Will regale you then. (Wink) Look what they did to the Druids. Tho, of course, I recognize your point. Wish I had time to reply right this very minute. (Impatient? Me?) The "waxing and waning" aspect sounds to me more like Gawain. I don't recall ever seeing this in connection with Lugh, and neither does Airmid. We may have missed it. Can you provide a reference? ------------------------------------------------------------------ In 8 days. Does sound like Gawain, doesn't it? Save that Lugh's strength was not affected that I have found. (Or if I did, I was slipping. Quite possible, that, but I don't care to discuss it. ;-) ) Solar attributes has been my contention all along. Lugh reminds me, in some ways, of the Japanese god, Susanoo. S. was a storm, underworld, and sea god, and also many talented. My point is, since Lugh was so gifted, wouldn't it be possible for him to have been god of more than one thing? I don't have any documentation to back that up yet, but will watch for it in future readings. Looking forward to continuing this conversation. I was going to sign off with the only other Irish blessing I know, but I can't find it. (Damn furreign languages. Thought when I finished Chinese I'd never study a foreign language again. Ha!) Anyway, consider yourself blessed. Erin 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718
