UpdReq Dear Sir: I am indeed glad that you feel no need to prove anything to anyone, presumably including yourself. So far as "no entity has ever offered anything but their world view of our reality and some well intentioned guidance." goes, that is flatly incorrect. I was employed as the office manager for a large new age magazine and seminar firm for over a year, until I could find other work. What I saw was a free for all meat-market approach to spirituality. I saw nationally known channellers spend hours counselling folks on sexual problems for truly obscene amounts of money, and a few favors on the side... I heard vapid advice given on life changing events, and heard ANY and all questions dismissed with a "well, if you are not spiritual enough to see that we have the TRUTH, then you are simply too dense to benefit from my otherworldly advice". I saw insincerity masquerading as wisdom, and charging for its time. It actually matters little to me that you, like virtually all channellers, are ignorant of the history of your own avocation. But, I would think it would concern you. I have indeed gotten much information from my guides and other associates on happiness. One of the early bits of wisdom I got was that they were not omnipotent, or even ness. wise in all things. Your observation that "it (channelling) really does bet the TV, politicians, and most movies>" strikes me as the sort of statement one would expect from the emotionally and intellectually bankrupt. I would never compare my religion to a movie or tv. Dear sir, it is (IMHO) the height of arrogance to suggest that the Universe "gives us what we want all the time.". One might assume that if this is indeed correct, our species is overly preoccupied with war, disease, and starvation as good things. My own view is less pessimistic, but that is the sort of reasoning that one would expect from a level 3 step 4 spirit. I had no beliefs, per se about channelling a decade ago, save that it was at LEAST as competent as the Spiritualist/Spiritist folk that I have met over my life. Disappointment reigned supreme when I found arrogance, timidity, and approaches more reminescent of the 3rd Reich than anything loving. Of course my guides are with me all the time. That is a given. I treat them like any other friend. They simply are "physically" challenged. I do not need to re-read Seth. Been there. Done that. May I suggest Kardec or Carrington to you? Then maybe we can speak a common language. Brightest & Warmest. 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718 From: Gerald Del Campo Area: MagickNet To: Anthra Andromda 10 Jul 92 23:22:32 Subject: Re: Software Testers UpdReq In a message dated 06 Jul 92 8:10:02, Anthra Andromda wrote: AA> Gotcha.
