It's one of the lovelier things about having to get up stinkingly early top go to work (along with the changing colour of clouds, being surrounded by birdsong and grazing rabbits, feeling alone with the Great Mother - Earth - and all the other things I like about the barbaric hours I keep). How can you call something as ephemerally gem-like as "dew on grass" LOW?? 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718 From: Lord Aslan Area: MagickNet To: Black Tiger 22 Apr 92 08:06:16 Subject: Re: Greetings UpdReq Thanks for the excellent greetings. I know your name from "The Inn of the Laughing God" and it's good to talk to you. At present, on the Inn I'm in a philosophical discussion with Martin Fontenot and Mike Staab, it's getting interesting. I'm also glad to meet more pagans within Houston. The only ones I really know are the owners of the Magic Cauldron and some other close friends. I happy for the opportunity to meet many others through these pagan echos. It's giving me a fabulous chance to learn more and more. I enjoy studying just about anything that I can lay my hands on,so if you have any good ideas for great pagan literature let me know. Take care and Blessed Be. I call it grounding and centering and I think it's one of the best ways to focus one's energies when you need to. I myself will do it anywhere as long as I can sit down, so I don't fall down. There is such a beautiful world out there and I'm glad that I am running into so many people that realize it. Take care and Blessed Be. I made a post either here or on the Inn of the Laughing God about some persecution that I went through att the hands of some fundamentalist. It's a long and involved one but basically I was in the military and I had a group of people come to my house to tell me about the "Word of God". Eventhough I'm pagan, I enjoy a good religious/philosophical discussion but I wa very tired that day and I simply told them I was pagan. They BACKED awy from my door and left without any discussions or comments. The next week I found my self reported to Child Protective Services and I was being called an alcoholic and a drug abuser. I wwent through a complete battery of test at the insistance of my section commander. He went to the same church that had visited me and they told him all sorts of stuff. I weathered the storm and came out of it better off than he did. Thankfully I had some people willing to believe in me as a person rather than an abstract label. Take it easy, I'll talk with y'all later. Blessed Be. Because I believe it is diffrent for everyone, everyone has techniques that work best for them. If you were my student I would sayt hat what you are doing is grounding. So some people don't like the word can't get the concept down that's why I say whatever feels right to you. One of my students uses his meditation from Tm to ground. Oh well just rambling.
