Well, there is a talent that MZB in her Darkover books calls a "Catalyst" telepath...these people can "awaken" the latent powers most people have simply by associated with them, and observing magickal workings...Most "CT" end up becomming teachers, because they believe that they are teaching the talents, when, really, they are just unconcously helping these people discover the talents within them... T> There, how's THAT for a Magickal slant on the subject? :) Pretty good! That is the type of think I like to see! There are a lot of subjects that need to be talked about, and it would be nice to see everyone here (even those who are lurking) to post at least ONCE A YEAR a short msg about a magickal topic that is very important to you, and you would like to see discussed by the community at large. ttyl Farrell Moderator 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718 From: Tim Maroney Area: MagickNet To: Jonathon 28 Mar 92 12:56:10 Subject: RE: from and to UpdReq Many sysops read net mail that travels through their nodes. Another term for banishment,"is giving leave to depart" but, it's kind of long. The person who gave me the idea called the spirits who come to check out the energy that has been raised and possibly to feed of it a little, "psychic cockroaches". Just as you might come and warm yourself at someone elses fire and decide to stay. It's the same thing in a way, however having these sort around can cause trouble and it can be draining on you and the circle. Blessed Be! My studies are showing that: The "Fundies" have it half-right. and The "Satanic Ego-worshippers" also have it half-right. There IS a divine Greater Power, one that encompasses the characteristics of the rational Christian view of God, and more. It is NOT just whatever my ego is drawn to. The Setians are wrong (among others) if they see it as no more than their own desire not "to lay under the earth" expressed as a deification of the Self. That part of the divine (it is more of an intersection than a "pie-wedge") I call, for the sake of speaking the same language, my HGA. ...
