Schueler's workbook has some useful stuff in it (I think I said before), but it gravels me that he leaves out, for whatever reason, the key element of the system. For the Golden Dawn system explained very clearly, and for a fuller background on the system that Schueler presents, the "Enochian Sex Magick" book you've seen referenced here is a better buy - with Lon Duquette's commentary, especially, it works way good. Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. >Since the actual differences between the two sets of Tablets, exclusive of >their rearrangement in the Great Table, amounts to two (2) count'm two Oops. Forgot to preface this with the which two sets I was talking about: the two that Turner published from Dee's 'Book of Supplications and Invocations', which are very nearly (as indicated) identical. I did a quick comparison of the Recensa lettering today with the first set of Tablets recorded in Casaubon, and there are many more differences, most of which seem to have gone away piecemeal as the angels provided corrections all the way up to the Recensa itself. I also did a detailed compare of the two Tablets published by Turner as coming from Dee's 'Book of Supplications and Invocations' and found only two differences (after I'd accounted for my own typos....) which affect only a single Senior name and one lesser angel. Hey, dja ever come across my electronic version of the Holy Books, with random phrase generator? I don't know how far it's traveled;it's got all the Holy Books but one, and doesn't do fancy fonts, but it's kinda fun, for Thelemites, anyway. MOG> Thanks, I shall eagerly await these results...:) :) Well, then, from my log: A character frequency analysis of the Tabula Recensa yields the following results, compared with a character frequency analysis of words in the Geoffrey James corrected Keys, and (very) rough percentages of the character totals (Tablet: 664, Keys: 3399): Tablet Keys % % A : 114 544 17 19 B : 16 117 2 3 C : 24 122 4 4 D : 30 120 5 4 E : 12 100 2 3 F : 3 36 0 1 G : 17 106 3 3 H : 12 97 2 3 I : 62 (64) 360 9 11 J : 0 0 K : 0 0 L : 28 225 4 7 M : 34 151 5 4 N : 48 187 7 4 O : 77 369 12 11 P : 39 135 6 4 Q : 0 22 0 0 R : 40 210 6 7 S : 25 153 4 4 T : 30 106 5 3 U : 4 0 * V : 11 (15) 107 2 3 W : 0 0 X : 16 35 2 1 Y : 2 0 * Z : 20 97 3 3 There are 11 empty spaces on the Tabula Recensa. The lines marked with asterisks are non-Enochian alphabetic characters, and the counts resulting from conversion to their Enochian equivalents are provided in parentheses. The character frequency distribution found in the Enochian vocabulary derived from the Keys is seen to be fairly close to that of the Tabula Recensa, and we may therefore feel somewhat justified in concluding that the two pertain to the same language. Surprise. Especially interesting is the predominance of IAO and the very un-English infrequency of E. A> I'd love to do some work on _Logaeth_, but it's never been ...
