                      United Wiccan Church

     The  Lizard Ring was conceived on Beltaine of 1989.  It  was 
brought to the attention of the board of directors of the  United 
Wiccan  Church  that there was need of  a  pagan,  life-affirming 
support group available to people who have HIV+, ARC or AIDS.  

     The  Lizard  Ring  is  a  non-sectarian  pagan  group  which 
welcomes all people who have HIV+, ARC or AIDS, their family  and 
friends, and any others who want to help. 

     The  group's objectives are to give support  in  maintaining 
good physical and mental health by the use of religious, magickal 
and  herbal methods in addition to those of modern  medicine.  It 
also  provides  a safe and loving space for those  who  have  the 
virus,  as well as family and frends. It works  toards  assisting 
all in accomplishing  a positive image of their personal future. 

     The  Lizard Ring is named for Rick Kunze, who was  known  to 
his  family and friends in the Wiccan community as "The  Lizard".  
Rick began his journey to Somerland in July of 1989, just as  The 
Lizard  Ring  was  forming. At Rick's memorial  service,  it  was 
decided that the new support group would adopt Rick's nickname in 
tribute to him and to all the other pagans that had crossed  over 
due to AIDS. 

     The  Lizard  Ring  meets  every Sunday  at  1:00  P.M.   For

Lizard Ring welcomes you and all the love and help you can give.
