I've recently found some of the old pages from my early training with the Pagan Way. I collected things from all over - where possible, I'll credit the author with their work. The fact that I say the author is unknown does not make it true - if you know of someone who may be the author of one of these pieces, please let me know! All dates are approximate - few of my notes are dated, and these are all handwritten copies from others' books and rituals. These are here just for your information and use. Enjoy them! Think of those things that bore us; that irritate us, and dedicate them as an act of service. Think of those tasks in which we rejoice and lose ourselves, and dedicate them, that we may remember the Lady in joy as well as in sorrow. Let us determine to remember this dedication throughout the day, in our habitual speech, gesture, and behavior. Let the emotions be filled with utter devotion to the Lady. Let them be "aired out" so that all feeling is clean and fresh as it is offered to Her. Let go of all resentment, however slight; all sense of strain and pressure. Let the feelings open out to Her fragrantly, easily, like a wild flower. Now steady the emotions by the dedicated mind... Open this quietly, deliberately, toward the Lady's mind. Thought must be harmless, sincere; kind whenever possible; based on broad principles, and flexible. Be still in the presence of the Lady; let Her power make its way through you. Offer Her everything. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Invocation From the Temple of the Pagan Way Chicago, IL c. 1973 In the name of the Cosmic One The ancient providence which was from the beginning And is for eternity Male and female The original source of all things All-knowing, all-prevading, all-powerful Changeless and eternal In the name of Our Lady of the Moon And the Lord of Death and Resurrection; In the names of the Mighty Ones of the four quarters - The Kings of the elements Blessed be this place, And this time, And they who are now with us. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Invocation to Isis M. Indeed art Thou mighty, Queen of the Gods, Victory is in Thy divine name. Thou are the source of the strength of peoples and Gods, Without Thee nothing can be born or made perfect. Goddess, I adore Thee as divine. I invoke Thy name; be pleased to hear and grant that which I ask of Thee So that I shall return thans to Thy Godhead with the faith that is Thy due. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Dedication The Order of Rhea (c. 1970) I dedicate myself to the Lords of Light. I journey from the path of darkness to the Path of Light. Unbalanced power is the ebbing away of life. Unbalanced mercy is weakness and the fading out of the will. Unbalanced severity is curelty and the barrenness of mind. I come in the power of the Light. I come in the light of wisdom. I come in the mercy of the Light. In the name of the Lord of the Universe Who works in silence and whom naught but silence can express I declare that I will not give to any the keys of the mysteries, Except that he be an honored candidate. I know that that which is above is that which is below. I purify myself with water. I consecreate myself with fire. I am of the earth, and of the air And shall protect the meanings of the sacred elements. Glory be to Thee, Father of the undying. Thy joy flows out endlessly to the reaches of the univers. Glory be to Thee, Mother of All. Thy boundless dew reflects the creation of the universe itself. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * the
