TOPICAL STUDY ATONEMENT GEN 4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: GEN 22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. EXO 12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: EXO 12:11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD'S passover. EXO 12:14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever. EXO 24:8 And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words. LEV 16:30 For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD. LEV 16:34 And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the LORD commanded Moses. LEV 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. PSA 40:6 Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. ISA 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. ISA 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. ISA 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. ISA 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. ISA 53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. ISA 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. ISA 53:11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. ISA 53:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. ZEC 13:1 In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. MAT 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. MAT 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. LUK 2:30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, LUK 2:31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; LUK 24:46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: JOH 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. JOH 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. ACT 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. ROM 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: ROM 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; ROM 3:26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. ROM 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. ROM 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: ROM 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. ROM 5:7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. ROM 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. ROM 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. ROM 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. ROM 5:11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. ROM 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. ROM 5:16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. ROM 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) ROM 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. ROM 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. ROM 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: ROM 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. 1CO 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 1CO 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 1CO 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 1CO 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 2CO 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 2CO 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. GAL 1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: GAL 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: GAL 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, GAL 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. EPH 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: EPH 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: EPH 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, EPH 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. EPH 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; EPH 1:8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; EPH 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: EPH 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: EPH 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: EPH 1:12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. EPH 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: EPH 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, EPH 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, EPH 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, EPH 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: EPH 1:22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, EPH 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, EPH 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) EPH 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: EPH 2:7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. EPH 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: EPH 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. EPH 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. EPH 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. EPH 2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; EPH 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. COL 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; COL 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. 1TH 5:10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 1TI 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. TIT 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. HEB 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. HEB 7:27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. HEB 9:7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: HEB 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. HEB 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? HEB 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. HEB 9:20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you. HEB 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. HEB 9:24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: HEB 9:25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; HEB 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. HEB 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: HEB 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. HEB 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. HEB 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. HEB 10:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. HEB 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. HEB 10:11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: HEB 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; HEB 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. HEB 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. HEB 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, HEB 11:19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure. HEB 13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. 1PE 1:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 1PE 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. 1PE 1:10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: 1PE 1:11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. 1PE 1:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. 1PE 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 1PE 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 1PE 1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, 1PE 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 1PE 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 1JO 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1JO 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 1JO 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 1JO 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1JO 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. REV 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, REV 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; REV 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. REV 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. REV 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. ============================== THE LECTRONIC IBRARY ECHANGE P.O.
