From: Coyote 29 Area: TOPY To: All 9 Feb 94 21:40:14 Subject: Various topicks UpdReq Welcoum a new individual! E was a member ov ALamut just before it closed down and has soum difficulty finding a place that carried thee net after ALamut's demise. Somebody _must_ know what happened to Max, let's have soum answers, eh? When E was last on TOPYnet, E talked with an individual known as Orpheus 23. If you're around, give E a signal. We were going to Xchange soum ritual musick when we last talked. Let E jump right in and have a say to a few people: Cerorach: Most available PTV right now is thee remenants ov PTV's acid house releases (eg. "Towards Thee Infinite Beat," "Beyond Thee Infinite Beat," "Ultrahouse," "Jack Thee Tab", etcetera) still being put out by Wax Trax. Shortly after that, PTV apparently split up (although there seem to be close to a thousand conflicting stories froum Gen and TOPI on _when_ they split up). Then PTV released an EP called "Painkiller" via Telepathic Records (PTV being Fred Gianelli) and Fred did a few projects on thee side as well for trance labels like Plus 8. Now PTV have released a new CD called "Peak Hour". I'm told PTV is now Gen and Fred back together and Paula is nowhere to be seen. If you're interested in old PTV, you'll have to either find stuff in used bins or through collectors, but that's soumtimes more difficult that it sounds depending on whether you live in a big city or not. Soum people like to divide their musick into three categories: 1982-1985 - Mostly TOPY or ritual musick, draws froum TG 1985-1988 - Pop song phase 1988-> on - Acid house Whoever asked how many albums they've put out, thee number ov LP's alone runs around 38, although if eou'd like a more accurate listing, E can provide it four eou. If you're interested in checking out thee musick ov PTV, make _sure_ eou check out Thee Psychick Warriors Ov Gaia. E believe they currently represent TOPY far better than PTV does. Walter Five: As for "Force Thee Hand ov Chance", well thee first 5000 copies came with "Themes 1" and a poster. "Dreams Less Sweet" included a free untitled EP with it's first 5000 pressings. "Themes 2" and "Themes 3" were released through Temple Records later on. Thee busts surrounding TOPY were not related to thee album, "Towards Thee Infinite Beat". As E understood it, thee busts were more related to thee old TOPY video "Ritual Cuttings" made by Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson which is no longer released by TOPY as it does not feel thee video represents TOPY adequately. Sleazy left TOPY in 1983 to form Coil. If anybody has any information on thee busts at all, would they please enlighten us as E've heard many rumours butter no definitive answers. Dr. Strangelove: Eou talked about owning soum CCT's. How are eou associated with TOPY? L-Ov-E, C29 ... OFFLINE 1.43 * Ov Power! 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718
