If you thought Crowley could be inaccessible at times, Gurdjieff will give you 
a headache.  On the other hand, if you don't take what he's saying too 
seriously, or take the time to read a good book _about_ him, or have access 
to someone well versed in his writings who can and will talk to you about it, 
reading his books can be very rewarding (also, his books are nowhere near as 
unreadable as _Dianetics_!).
Just be sure to read the _All and Everything_ series in the order he intended.

...I've been slowly accumulating the electronic versions, but reading from a 
computer screen for a long time makes my eyes hurt... and without a laser 
printer, it'd take me several hours to print out a single issue.  I suppose I 
just prefer the real thing, with illustrations, etc... <sigh> Much thanks 
anyway, though. :)
