Andy -
Ashtar sounds like a variation of Ishtar, aka Astarte, etc. The Goddess
of Love/Passion/Fertility in the Near Eastern cycles (demonised as
Ashtaroth, the Succubus, in JC demonlogy).
 Ashlar is a Masonic term, referring to the keystone of the Temple arch I 
*think*.  I know there is a rough ashlar (ie. undressed stone) and a perfect 
ashlar (dressed stone) which figures in Blue Lodge and *again, I THINK* Royal 
Arch,as far as the expose's and other unofficial treatments of the material 
say.

  Well, I've got plenty of points of difference with Uncle Al, but I
 certainly don't think I've got the gall to publish an edition of AL
 with my own commentaries criticising AC's commentaries. If you haven't
 read it, I recommend checking it out.

I have a "good" quality hardcover copy of _The Secret Rituals of the O.T.O._ 
that I picked up earlier this year. I have decided that I don't necessarily 
really need a copy of it, not being a Thelemite. I would entertain offers to 
be relieved of it if someone wanted to offer me something near market value 
for it.
