Oft times the greatest deeds are done under the influence of fear (mother saving trapped child for example). And fear is the companion of mankind as well; we all love a good ghost story, we all have seen 'Nightmare on Elm St.", we love to be scared. That is why they build bigger and faster roller coasters, and it is why horror novels and movies do so well. We are all, to some degree, afraid of the dark and the noise that goes bump in the night. It increases our sensory perceptions, our sense of smell and hearing become more acute. Our mind races, looking for logical explanations that we can see or touch; but we find only air. And we dig it! It too is a weapon of choice, who will live and who will die on the Aquili Laural? Will it be you or I? These were the thoughts deepest of those who were held by force. Greater than the fear of the unknown is the fear of death, which for most it is one and the same as the unknown. Fear, as a weapon, is used on a daily basis by our police forces during interogations. It is spewed from pulpits by pious knownothings that seek to only line their pockets and control the will and actions of others. Fear is power, and power is might, and might makes wrong right. Just sittin' here pondering long side you....
