KSS> Can you be in both the TOS and the ONA? Are these issues also KSS> related to those raised by Boyd Rice, Nick Schreck, etc.? The "Order of Nine Angles" is in fact a pen-name of one David Myatt, a Briton who creates the illusion of an organization by signing letters & articles by a number of names, such as Stephen Brown, Anton Long, etc. Myatt has written some intelligent essays, but unfortunately has also published and advocated a "Satanic human sacrifice" ritual. For this reason, and for his simple deviousness, the Temple of Set does not recommend him and would not accept as a Setian anyone who affiliated with him. My familiarity with the Brotherhood of Baldur is sketchy, as I have had no direct contact with it. The Temple of Set's senior British official, Magister David Austen, does not recommend it, so for the time being I would also say thumbs-down on joint membership with it and the Temple of Set. You might want to E-mail Magister Austen for any background comments he might have. The Temple of Set does not have any official policy pertaining to racial studies. As you know, this is a highly-emotional area because of the many harmful distortions and oversimplifications it has engendered, particularly in this century. Yet it is also a most interesting topic, and one with potentially positive potential. So I would say that if you can approach it and not get tangled up in some this-or-that-supremacist ideology, there is much cultural and magical wisdom to be found therein. I have heard of Boyd Rice but have not corresponded with him nor read anything by him. No comment. A few years ago Nikolas Schreck was collaborating with Anton LaVey, at the time when Zeena was still representing the "Church of Satan" and her father. Both Zeena and Schreck subsequently disavowed Anton and went on to promote their own Werewolf Order & related projects. Its literature was sufficiently anarchic & nihilistic that I would be somewhat concerned about a Setian's seeking joint membership. On the other hand Zeena & Schreck have been courteous to the Temple of Set, and appear to be ethical & responsible individuals as far as we have seen, so it may be that the Werewolf's "bark is worse than its bite"! 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718 From: Dark Star Area: Base of Set To: Albert Saperstein 25 Nov 94 17:09:30 Subject: Glad to see ya UpdReq Just want to say that I'm glad to see you on alt.
