  Did he send you an E-mail? I got a reply from him -or someone
 purporting to be him- after a post of mine on the OST deaths in
 Usenet's alt.magick. I replied to it, but haven't heard back. He said
 that he mentioned Crowley, but not the OTO -- but my informant (I
 didn't see the interview on ABC myself) says he mentioned the "Eastern
 Templars" or something along those lines.

       It wouldn't surprise me if he did. But if you get a look at the Oct. 6 
NYT on pg. a12, there's a section in which they ask Raschke for  his 
"expertise".  A passage reads: "Dr. Raschke said the intellectual traditio 
behind occult groups like Mr Jouret's can be traced to the Englishman 
Aleister Crowley, an early 20th century writer, practicioner of magic and 
founder of secret societies, most notably the Ordo Templi Orientis."
If you ask me, he's still a cup and a saucer short of a full set.
