Any chance of someone getting a copy of that KSS> story? Is it available? Yes, as long as you promise not to develop a sexual frenzy for me once you read it! _The Dark Side_ - a chapter of which Forry included in _FM_ - is a story exploring the interrelationship of political, magical, & military events via the scenario of _Star Wars_. Photocopies are available for a $12 donation to Temple of Set, P.O. It is interesting to consider exactly why the Second Amendment exists in the first place. Is it so that every colonial farmer could have a gun to go hunting with? Or so that state militias could be activated with everyone showing up with a gun & not having to be issued same? Or - in the spirit of the Bill of Rights being "rights *against the government* - so that individuals would have the power for armed defense of themselves if they were oppressed by the government? [Let us recall that this is exactly what happened when the government was Britain.] This third possibility - which neither gun-advocates nor the government seems very anxious to articulate! - is really the heart of the issue, isn't it? As for whether problems can be solved by guns: Sometimes they can be if you use the guns to destroy the opposition, as in the case of the Revolutionary War, Civil War, etc. But there is a more subtle problem. Once you start shooting, all opportunity for solution via dialogue, debate, compromise, etc. ceases. Suddenly there are no longer any shades of grey. This tends to lead to very one-sided solutions which are so ill-designed that they solve little and simply plant the seeds for further strife later on. 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718 From: Michael Aquino Area: Base of Set To: Whitefang 18 Oct 94 06:41:38 Subject: Re: Church of Satan's Liberation Rec'd UpdReq Whi> Is it true that the former leader of the Church of Satanical Liberation Whi> is now a priest in the Temple of Set? If we are talking about the same group, it was a short-lived effort ca. 1972 by Joseph Daniels of Indianapolis & Cliff Amos of Louisville, who were its only two members. It published a few issues of a _Grimorium Verum_ newsletter and then disappeared, so I'm not sure how that would translate into "lots of files" ... or perhaps you are talking about a different group with the same name? 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718 From: Dark Star Area: Base of Set To: Gwenny The Pooh 21 Oct 94 20:30:28 Subject: Re: New BBS UpdReq GtP> Hiya all... You have succinctly explained why revolutions invariably fail. The Waco situation wasn't unique, either: the Whiskey Rebellion in 1794 established a precedent for that sort of thing. I've always been curious about the gun lobby's avoidance of directly confronting the "resistance to tyranny" aspect of the Second Amendment. They keep a lot of bumper stickers and such relating to it, but the argument you always hear their spokespersons putting forth is nearly always related to the "sportsmen" crap. As if it would be sporting to bag a deer with a lasersight equipped AK-47... The LA rioters did get turned back at Koreatown. But I think these pagan gun buffs are missing an essential point: once the Government labels you a "cult", they can do anything they want. 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718
