I might begin by pointing out that this religious is traditionally epicurean [if not quite as hedonistic as the old Church of Satan], and certainly not in quest of masochism or martyrdom. We'll leave those thrills to Judaeo/C. Same goes with "bearing a cross"! You're quite right: The Temple of Set is always interested in improving itself and its ideas, but it couldn't care less about expansion. Indeed our communications and administration systems are all harmonious with a design small enough to make personal contact a key feature, and are not at all suited to impersonal (slick/mass) communications. Ummm, you must really be isolated from the media to have said that. If you are not aware of it yet, there is an organization called the Freedom From Religion foundation that publishes documented and verified cases of sex crimes by christian, (particularly Catholic) fundamentalist, Baptist, etc. clergy and laypersons in the thousands. These are cases where the perpetrator has confessed, been convicted, and where the church authorities have in many cases attempted to cover it up and pay off the families of the kids. This is particularly epidemic in the Catholic church, and they admit this. It is a rather large scandal, and common knowledge at this point. I would hardly call this suffering slurs and criticism, and cannot compare in any way to the Satanic religion which HAS been unjustly persecuted for this . 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718 From: Rapier Area: Base of Set To: The Cegorach 10 Jul 94 09:02:00 Subject: Re: Diabolica II????
