Hi, Kayla!  A member of the Order has indicated that ths is not current policy 
of the O.T.O., though obviously no one who has taken the oath of the III is 
at liberty to say whether King's version is still in use.  There are numerous 
versions of all the O.T.O. initiation rituals, and the Order's current 
versions were somewhat revised in the 1970's (though not, so far as I know, 
in any big way) and I believe a new edition of various of them was issued 
internally a few years ago as well.  It may be that King's version is one 
that was never actually used in the Order, or that the offending passage was 
modified in recent decades under the Caliphate, or that the passage remains 
intact but has been "re-interpreted" to mean something other than what it 
appears to say.  Personally, I think it makes sense in context, so I doubt 
that King's version is simply unhistorical.  What the passage in question 
says is:
 "I fyrther solemnly pledge myself to obey the Grand Master Baphomet; to 
recognize his authority and his alone; without regular charter from him I 
will not initiate or purport to initiate any person into any association of 
any kind or administer any ceremony identical with or resembling in any way 
the Ceremonies of Our Order."
 Unless the whole passage is bogus -- which seems very unlikely, given its 
obviously Crowleyan style -- the prohibition against initiating people into 
any association of any kind seems very much in line with the overall theme of 
respecting the sole authority of the G.M.
 As for the A.'. A.'. question you raised, it would not have been an issue 
during Crowley's life, since the Grand Master Baphomet was also the head of 
the A.'. A.'.

Well, I don't know ANYTHING at all about the internal structure and workings
of the Temple Of Set, but I know enough about Aquino to surmise that he is
not profiteering with this thing. I may disagree with his positions on MANY
issues, but I'm pretty confident that the fees charged by ToS cover their
costs and that is all. Let's say I've EXAMINED the man and his work closely
enough to KNOW that ToS is not a cash cow.
As far as "faith" goes, DOUBT EVERYTHING. I don't think ToS is peddling a
"faith". They SEEM to be grounded in empiricism. Again, I am not a member,
just a student of these things, and these are opinions formed by examination
of documents available to the general public and my own intuition.
