I'm corresponding with a Mac user trying to send him PGP Ascii radix-64 cyphertext files (similar to key blocks posted here). The only problem is that block received from his Mac have not at all the usual blocks standard format (64 caracters lines with cr/lf). They all appeared to be one excessively long line wrapped at 512th caracter!!? I'm aware that cr/lf is not the same on Mac & Ibm, but how could you possibly make PGP to translate accordingly? Or by which means could I possibly correct this? Thanks! I'm encountering problems decoding a ciphertext file (Ascii radix 64 format) coming from a Mac user! So far, he's been using commands: -sea and -seat but the blocks lines are concatenated into a single line wrapping at excessive length (512 caracters) and PGP does not recognize this as being a ciphertext file. What his the appropriate command for translating from Mac to Dos and Dos to Mac? And if such a command does not exist, how could I restore blocks original shapes? You can fix this by using a call to command.com to run the .BAT file, because you're using the "Load & execute" function in DOS and this isn't able to read a BATch file. You seem to have (appropriately) looked on the brighter side. Let's use what we have learned from the past and build a bigger, better mousetrap! In our field (data processing) the prototype (usually) becomes the archetype, with the proviso that "we'll re-write it properly when we have time". But that time never seems to come.
