The following Gerald, I am glad you put that up. Just the other day, I found a petition for the same thing at the local market where I get my homeopathic remedies. I would think our congressmen could come up with better ways to waste their time! The idea that helmets can be a detriment is as old as the fact that hundreds of people a year die in automotive fires because they cannot remove their belts in the panic. The accident did occur just as I stated, and no, I don't have a police report nor do I fancy the idea of calling this guy up after not seeing him for over 2 years just to ask him for it. A little research into this, however, will disclose the fact that it happens more often than you might think. Yes, an unprotected motorcyclist is at risk of great physical harm by not wearing a helmet. My point was that sometimes the laws and whims that Nazi types insist on making us all obide are not always in our best interest. My friend always hated helmets, he figured if he ate it big time and his body would be incapacitated as a result of an accident he didn't want doctors to keep him alive just because his brain bucket had protected his brain. They took the choice away the choice to decide for himself. As a result he is very bitter about his handicap.
