This is awful, but the whole reason I saw the show in the first place was cuz the board was down for the mail-toss and I was looking for innocent diversion before I could get back on & read the new mail! I *think* it was that station out of Chicago that we get via cable? It was hilarious. I didn't catch the whole show, but in the 15 or 20 minutes I watched, the broad seemed to shrivel, her hair went from Marilyn Quayle'ish moussed into submission to Tina Turner on a bad wig day, and I think she aged about 10 years. "Please, everyone, please!" I suppose, being a woman, she didn't want to get her nose broken a la Geraldo, but she seemed completely fascinated by the concept of doin' the nasty on stage. Well, just lately!... It's theoretically for discussions of the darker types of magick. I can't remember how things got to this point. Oyeah, the subject line says Vampires, I think it went from Vampires to Zombies & degenerated into general silliness from there. There *is* an Echo-menu file with the names of the echos carried here and a description of their themes, you might wanna check that out for further info. Scuse me now, I have to go read the Necronomicon backwards (I'm trying to summon the Young Ones) and the GG Allin tape is drowning out your voice. Damn beaurocrats...no sense of humor. Imagine. Hmph! ;> But you've reminded me (dont'cha hate when that happens) of a rat story of my own. Many years ago, when I still lived in DC and was a tad more squeamish than I am now (marriage'll do that to ya), there was an absolutely HUGE rat in my apartment. DC is famous for rats the size of puppies--this sucker was closer to full-grown-Rottweiler! When I tried to get him, he stood up on his hind legs and started chittering at me, and he sounded PISSED. I wasn't about to go claw to claw with a pissed off mutant DC rat, so I sensibly grabbed the trash can and upended it over him, trapping him inside. He was shoving against it and moving it across the floor...I stuck my foot on the lid & called the downstairs neighbor to come and take care of it for me (the REAL reason men are better than {fill in the blank}??). Anyway, he took care of the situation in a quietly macho manner--he kicked the trash can over and blasted the rat with a .45 then went back downstairs leaving me to finish the job. Rodent splattered all over the living room--ack!! The moral of the story is, move to California. The rats are bigger and walk on two legs, but the local Sanitation Department will clean up the mess for you. ;> 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718 From: Kenneth Freeman Area: Night Side To: Rakshasa 13 Aug 93 09:24:00 Subject: Re: SUPER NEW ZINE! I've already read _AMOK: 4th Dispatch_... great stuff. Don't know enough about Steiner to comment one way or the other, but Gurdjieff had a lot more going for him than your average "Receiver of Transmissions From The Star-Children" (haven't these bozos ever read Lovecraft?). Unfortunately, his writing style can most charitably be classified as turgid and difficult. Try checking out Ouspensky, who managed to get most of Gurdjieff's most salient points down in a more clear and coherent fashion. I recommend _The Psychology of Man's Possible Evolution_ as a good starting point, with _In Search of the Miraculous_ also highly recommended. 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718 From: Destry Ragon Area: Night Side To: Fra.: Apfelmann 14 Aug 93 00:54:42 Subject: Re: CHAOS MAGICK UpdReq Thanks again....
