I find myself afraid many times, simply because I become more aware each day of the human capabilities, my capabilities, the possibilities are sometimes frightening Nick. Plain and simple, I don't know that I am prepared to "handle" the responsibilities I could give myself. I don't know that I am the best one to be using the things I use, learning the things I learn. Im fearful, hell yes. It's humbling, it's awesome, and at times it is fearful. Seems like I recall reading here that Kenneth Grant's works were being re-published and that a new book was forthcoming. What's the status of this? Is the new book out yet, and if so where and what's it's cost? Thanks! Yo, Nachash, Gleetings and proliferations! Looks like I might have a PODS link outa this burgh, so I thought I'd babble at you for a sec. When we last left our hero, there were 2 phurba-type blades on the way.... Got them both, one brass from Atlanta, and one iron from Snow-Lion (and, oh yeah, a little book on the Phurba Cult called _Dagger_Blessing_, also from Snow-Lion.) The are both of essentially the same design: thick, heavy blade of triangular section, demon-face at the guard, three demon heads wearing skull-ornamented crowns at the pommel, all of a single casting. The brass one has much clearer detail, but the iron phurba for some reason seems much more imposing (both to myself and Others), and would certainly pass muster by a traditionalist, whereas the brass one would likely be used mainly as a boundary marker. Snow-Lion also has some small iron phurba for cheap, that might also make suitable markers. Other than more or less essential purchases, though, I've been hoarding my pennies for the new Equinox reprints due out from Weiser in a month or so (some of my old software is finally paying me royalties, and is, insh'Allah, going to form the basis of a new business venture - wish me luck! - so maybe I can afford my own bound set at last....) Anyway, Bro, drop me a line when you can. If you've got a mailing address, I've got lasered copy of Parts I & II (footnotes and all, but the special diacritical marks went away in the Mac fonts I used; oh well.) The NightSide Echo here in DC just snaffled a big batch of old mail, so maybe we're back in the Net at last; worth a shot, anyway. Before Nachash took HaditNet down, I belatedly noticed a _Necronomicon_ conference, which doesn't appear here at all. In the mean time, I've acquired a copy of the Haye/Turner _Necronomicon_, which has some furthur detail on the Owlswick printing of de Camp's Duriac manuscript. He did, it seems, obtain the manuscript in the Middle East, and not here in the States, from priests or otherwise (which is not to say that there's no connection between renegade priests and Simon's sources.) Any luck obtaining photostats of the Owlswick edition (and here I believed for years that the reference was just their little joke...)?
