I've been a fan since the pilot. Yeah, it had its problems at first, and still has some of them, but it's by far the best SF on TV. And I'm not the only one who thinks so. Even from the start, with all its problems, it was obvious it was loaded with potential. One is inherited (ie. Daniel's original post (joke?) ascribing human psychology to Gods). The second is procedural (ie. Metaphysical is not intended for chat threads). The third is, however, substantive. You responded: "Christians have no difficulty worshiping three gods and calling it one." First, a minority, but a significant number of non- or even anti-Trinitarian Christians are around, who indeed do have a problem with the idea of the Trinity. Of course, they are usually extremely literalist, much less likely to recognize the civil right of Pagans to worship as they please, but at least consistent, which seems to displease you about Trinitarian sects. Second, I assume this also means you raise an issue (whether it is a problem or not was unclear from your post) with Brit Trad Wiccans, and other sects of Neopaganism, which honor the Goddess (the Goddess, singular) in Three Aspects. Is this different from the Christisn worship of their God in Three Aspects? There are, certainly, theological differences between the Triple Goddess and the Trinity, but both seem to be centered on the recognition of a single Deity Who is manifested in the world under three facets of a Divine whole. Is there some reason this seems odd when done by the Christian God, but not when it is pulled off by the Wiccan Goddess?
