From: LIANA Area: Mundane To: URHLA 14 May 94 22:02:00 Subject: KITCHEN WITCH UpdReq ... An owl hooted in my ear of words by Urhla to Liana ... Ur> I wouldnt call myself multitalented ive just tried alot. Now carving Ur> candles is a neat idea! Ive never thought of that next time i make a Ur> candle I'll try it. I love it... especially with these pillars made of the smoothest wax. Stay away from the cheapies that have some sort of coat for color. It's like trying to carve chocolate dipped ice-cream. Ur> Im going to try the bread this weekend. I went Ur> looking for a bread pan at some yard sales and found one. Yeah! {laughing} You just reminded me of two weekend ago... a girlfriend wanted to bake banana bread at her place. She's a fantastic cook but doesn't bake. So I brought all the supplies, from tools to ingredients. We wound up going to a *third* place to make the bread because that's where people were gathering to watch a movie. Guy had a hot oven. We made black bricks with banana inside. }:> Ur> Hubby Ur> gets allergy shots and pussycats are his worst. We may eventually get Ur> a dog. But right now we have a rabbit which is quite cuddly. Hes Ur> actually quite beautiful. Ohhh... I wuv widdle bunnies. But I'm allergic to them too... I did have quite the time when I worked on a farm back in high school and one of things we had to do was breed the bunnies. I know first hand where the phrase "quick as a bunny" comes from ;) Ur> One thing that i regret is not learning a Ur> musical instrument. As a kid it seemed like a fate worst than hell to Ur> take lessons. I'm going to suggest to you what I suggest to every person I hear say this (and there *alot*). It's never too late to take up an instrument. If you're serious, and patient, find a teacher (or teach yourself) and go for it. Initially, it's like learning a language. Then mastering theory and technique. One you get that bit under your belt, the fun stuff starts! Ur> Im definitely going to try carving candles....but right Ur> now the sun is shining and my garden is calling me to water it. Ill Ur> let you know how the bread turns out. Chao {wistful sigh} I *will* find a house, darn it. I want a vegetable garden and a back yard and flowres and a porch. But, at the least the sun shines for all, yes? :) Blessed Be. -l ... ANTI-CLIPPER T-SHIRTS! If you're concerned about government interference into freedom of speech, cyber-communications, and/or encrypted communications, you may be interested in the following, an anti-CLIPPER T-shirt. If you're interested, please respond directly to the address given below, and not to me, since I have no other connection with this issue other than helping out a friend. * * * * * * * * * The ANTI-CLIPPER T-Shirt I am amazed at the response to the anti-clipper t-shirt we created. Since word spread around the Net, we have received hundreds of orders. A picture of the shirt was included last week in an article in The Washington Post! We have gotten orders from well-known cyber authors and an MTV veejay. I wonder if Al Gore saw it... As information has spread, it seems to have gotten a bit diluted. Here is the information. The shirt says "Don't Give Big Brother a Master Key. Terminate Clipper Now." It has a graphic of a skeleton key on a chip. The shirts are XL and black only. I can't evaluate our own work, but everybody seems to like it a lot. We accept COD orders at iplus1hope@aol.com ($14.50) and check orders ($12.50) at PO Box 59152 Renton, WA 98058. Thanks!
